A group of Sheep near the village

hehe . . not only the unique of  the architecture, food, people.. also the animals here .. 

rare to be seen this kind of a group of sheep live near the village of Kuala Kelawang, Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan.


DO YOU KNOW?

Sheep can remember at least 50 individual sheep and human for years. They do this by using a similar neural process and part of the brain that humans use to remember.

Sheep have been shown to display emotions which can be studied by observing the position of their ears. 

Milk of the sheep also drunk and used to other products such as cheese and many people who consume animal products such as cheese.

..that is a little bit sharing of knowledge in order to know about my Destar, I also mix it with general knowledge, as the mind refreshment :)..

Alright, after on the way about 3 hours from Shah Alam --> Jelebu , Finally, I"ve reached Haji Mustaffa house . Alhamdulillah ..

as I told you in the previous post about the influence of the roof .. see at the signboard area of the village already shown the culture of the Minangkabau Influence that show they really practic the culture of the roof to be used and to be known well.

So..after been searching for a bout 3 hours, finally I meet this Master of Destar..

It is a little bit hard to find his house because of the house is really deep into the village and places at the end of the village and for your information , Haji Mustaffa also is the Head of Village Kampung Sungai Legum. 

so the research will be start here :)

43years old, Haji Mustaffa is a very nice person, humble and friendly. So pleased to be know him and very knowledgeable about the Destar, about the Negeri Sembilan. He also good in Traditional Musical Instrument rather than making Destar for palace usage. 

At Negeri Sembilan he is the one and only Destar making and he conquer all the tender and projects of palace in booking, making and handle the installation of minister in a palace which is being a Destar makers and also take an order from the outsider and the couple who wants to get married and need the touches of the traditional Destar from RM 80 for charges to flip and design the Destar.

So, for the lunch break I have stop at one of the warong near by the Kampung Kuala Kelawang area which is told by the villagers that this place is one of most delicious and good to eat the "lauk-lauk kampung".. wow! yummyyy!!

naahhh ! menu of the day . . yummmm! see that the yellow dish ?haa, that is masak
 lemak telur itik dan pegaga. . . there is also have sambal belacan , sambal tempoyak and ikan masin buluh ayam . . lovely taste. . nyumm.nyumm!

DO YOU KNOW?

"Masak Lemak Cili Api" is the traditional dishes and compulsory dish for the Negeri Sembilan people from their ancestor until present they still use it to be a compulsory in their meal. The dishes is spicy and use alot of chilli which is well known for their community that practice the taste of dishes to be spicy especially in Masak Lemak. 

In other words, this kind of dishes is origin from Negeri Sembilan.If you want to get the original taste, go to the Negeri Sembilan Warong which serves the "lauk-lauk kampung". but I think that all of the warong near Negeri Sembilan serves Masak Lemak Cili Api and believe me you'll rolling eyes eating it.

okay , that is my story during my journey to reached the Master of Destar.. 

the food, people and the surrounding area which really great to be discover. I Love the people, the food and the weather which is there is still maintain the forest, river and the surrounding of the village because Jelebu is placed deep into the village and not so in town, quite far away from the town and that is the reason why they still maintain traditional. 

well it will to be continue people ...

while searching and on the way to reached there, so many things that I get such as 

the way, the surrounding area and I also discover alot of unique houses and building.

this is the architecture that catch my eyes along the way.

Unique construction that really attract people to watch again and stare to this architecture. The construction is begin with the big size until the smaller size which is show the rhythm in construct this house.

Negeri Sembilan was very known with the influence of Minangkabau which extract from the " Tanduk Kerbau" (buffalo horn). It usually can be seen on the roof of houses in the village, palace, cottages, and also on resort near Negeri Sembilan which is that is the strong influence that represented their territory to the visitors and outsiders.In other words, that is their originality from long time ago until present.

So, in this kind of modern contemporary era, there is still people who applied this kind of roof influence because of the unique and exotic look that really catch eyes to stare again and again because of the sharpness on the tip of the roof that looks like horn. If you go to the area of Negeri Sembilan, most of their roof of houses applied this kind of roof which really shown their strong spirit of culture to outsiders which is good and a knowledge to be dig in. The roof also got in so many sizes which is short, long , half and quarter. 

That is about the unique things that I discover during my way to reached the Master of Destar , not only go for the Destar only but I love to see the culture of the place itself that relate to the people and surrounding area.

well, this is what I am excited to tell all the people !

Last week, I have start my journey to my Destar mastermind at Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan to discover more about the Destar that I've been searching for my subject matter. 
Well, it is an interesting thing which I can look deeply on Destar.

     MY DISCOVERY START HERE ..

woahhhhh!! Get up in the early morning and at 8.33 am I have start my route to go and seek for the Master of Destar, En. Haji Mustaffa at Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan. I really excited to go there.

#A SIGNIFICANT

Assalamualaikum and Hi people! 

.... heyyyaaa people !!

At my latest previous post, I have tell people about the Design of the Destar and the type of the Destar that have their own name and shape, design and also size. Regarding to the post, I proceed to this post by elaborate about the Process of Making Destar. For the Process of Making Destar, there is 10 types of pleat that containing its own meaning which is explaining about the flows and steps in the relationship of man and woman that going through a marriage life from the beginning of the friends  ice breaking session until reach the step of hand in marriage a girl. As usual, I will explain the facts in Malay version so that the blogger will understand more about what I am trying to derived. 

So enjoy yaaahhh people :)

#Proses Menakuk Destar

Setiap penakuk yang menakuk destar mempunyai falsafah dan teknik yang tertentu dalam menakuk destar berdasarkan kefahaman yang berbeza mengikut guru ya mengajarnya. Seorang penakuk destar di Raja di Negeri Sembilan Haji Md Isa Bin Md Ali menyatakan setiap destar harus disudahkan dengan sepuluh (10) lipatan yang melambangkan pertemuan antara pasangan dan kekasih. Ia dimulakan dengan "Langkah Bermula" yang membawa maksud merisik seorang perempuan, kemudian "Risik Melangkah" iaitu menghantar cincin tanya, "Risik Bertemu" iaitu cincin pertunangan, "Cincin Berkembang" iaitu kembang cincin dan diakhiri dengan "Hukum Berjalan" iaitu akad nikah.

Apabila selesai peringkat perkenalan dan upacara merisik, lipatan diteruskan dengan :

* "Lambaian Kasih"

yang menggambarkan pertemuan, persahabatan dan hormat menghormati diantara lelaki dan perempuan.

* "Kasih Bermula"  

menggambarkan kehidupan pasangan suami isteri yang penuh dengan kasih mesra.

* "Bertemu Kasih"

menggambarkan kemesraan perhubungan  diantara suami dan isteri yang penuh dengan kasih sayang yang tidak berbelah bahagi.

* "Gelembung Kasih" 

menggambarkan kebahagiaan dan kasih sayang yang semakin erat diantara pasangan suami isteri apabila mengetahui bahawa mereka bakal menimang cahaya mata. 

* "Lambaian Ibu"     

menggambarkan kegembiraaan serta kesyukuran ibu bapa kedua belah pihak apabila menerima pengkhabaran bahawa mereka akan menerima cucu.
